Abstract


Image enhancement technology, you can make the image for a better visual effect, improve the ability of the human eye information to identify, on the other hand, the image enhancement as a pre-processing technology, and make the processed image is more suitable than the original image on the parameters estimation, image segmentation and target identification and subsequent image analysis. Therefore, the image enhancement technology has been an important content of image processing. Traditional image enhancement method based on histogram there are the following problems: 1) the the traditional histogram grayscale statistics and the amount of information there are inconsistencies; 2) traditional histogram equalization method in grayscale adjustment process, not fully visually sensitive segment; 3) is not changeable characteristics for image content adaptively for grayscale adjustment optimization configuration parameters. Article expand the following response to these problems: First, the traditional description of the histogram of the image information deficiencies, this paper proposes a new histogram construction method based on visual attention mechanisms grayscale amount of information. In the gray level of the statistical process at the same time this new histogram consider each gradation level number and spatial distribution of the case, using a visual attention mechanism calculation model estimates the gray level of the importance of the different positions (or significant), and according to each The pixel grayscale importance weighted statistics, so that the statistical results can objectively reflect the role played by each gradation level on the image information portrayed. Secondly, consider the nonlinear characteristic of human visual perception in the gradation adjustment process, and according to its characteristics of the different proportions of gray level information amount assigned to a different visual sensitivity zone. Allocation principles to follow the sensitivity large section allocated more amount of information, at the same time to avoid the dominant gray level histogram stretching processing occupy a larger range of grayscale space, In this paper, the human eye perceives capacity curve constraints led gray-scale dynamic range. Finally, due to the changing characteristics of image content, in order to obtain a better image enhancement effect, it is necessary to do some adjustment on the allocation ratio of the amount of information of the section of the visual sensitivity, this paper presents a basis for image enhancement quality objective assessment the results of the analysis of the algorithm to obtain the best adjustment parameter, adaptive. The image enhancement objective assessment of the quality of the algorithm is based on visual perception model design, a large number of test results show that an objective assessment of algorithm analysis and subjective assessment results are consistent.
