Effective access to information is the premise of the equipment monitoring and diagnostic equipment real-time monitoring and diagnostic difficulty is also rising, but increasingly complex with the monitored object, which raised the speed and reliability of the monitoring system as well as access to information globally a higher demand. Due to the limitations of the cabling, traditional wired data transmission and processing system built there are inherent weaknesses in terms of system scalability, robustness, have been difficult to meet the complex distributed equipment and demand for equipment group monitoring and diagnosis . The emergence of wireless sensor networks (WSN: Wireless Sensor Networks), provides a new way for the solution of such problems. Therefore, this paper WSN technology and its application in the field of equipment condition monitoring. In this paper, the application requirements for monitoring field, mainly launched a study of the following aspects: (1) based on the analysis and comparison of existing WSN development platform, based on the monitoring areas of information acquisition and transmission needs, the proposed surface WSN to monitor application of the overall design, design based the CC2430 node hardware module, and select the appropriate network protocol-ZigBee. (2) the demand for surveillance applications, data acquisition and transmission performance, ZigBee network protocol analysis and streamlined. (3) the acquisition and transmission performance of the WSN node based on CC2430 quantitative analysis, proposed and implemented on the basis of a small amount of computation accuracy than similar methods improved positioning technology. (4) for WSN applied to the field of monitoring and diagnostic information transfer rate is not enough, the node processing capabilities shortcomings, the design and development of an integrated DSP and CC2430 dual-processor node platforms, and enhance the distributed processing nodes capacity, and its performance and energy consumption. (5) development of a laboratory prototype system for integration of the technology, the transmission system and network performance in indoor and outdoor experiments; preliminary application of the system in a laboratory environment to structural health monitoring, and wired The monitoring system comparison results show that the effectiveness of the prototype system. The results show that, built by the integrated CC2430 and DSP dual-processor nodes and streamline ZigBee network protocol the WSN is effective, such WSN may provide a new and effective way for equipment condition monitoring.
