Abstract


In the field of the economics, the components of the cost and the rules of thetechnology and the economics for integrated circuits (IC’s) industrial are discussed inthis paper. The basic rules and concepts in the economics and IC manufacturing whichare necessary for the decision support system (DSS) of IC are studied.A cost model of IC based on the designing parameters is established. The modelreflects the relation between the manufacturing costs & the designing parameters andthe random factors for the production process which influence on the manufacturingcosts.The cost model is applied to the ICDSS which is researched and developed by theresearching group. The system is supported by three data bases (which include theinformation of many IC lines of production for Hua-Jing Electron Group Company ofChina and 771 Institute). The cost model is tested and verified to be correct.
