As the increase of high-rise buildings in modern cities, we depend on elevators in our lives and pay more attention to elevator efficiency. High buildings need to equip multiple elevators to meet the need of heavy transport. In order to improve the monitor and control of running and inspection, but to make sure the daily work of the elevator, elevator monitoring system are used to manage and control the elevators.The ARM lower machine in REMS is the core of the whole control system, it completed the elevator and the PC host computer to connect and complete the task of communication transmission between the two. This paper summarizes the most commonly used in remote monitoring technology based on the elevator, designed to for the LM3S2016 microcontroller ARM core, technical and industrial field bus CAN bus and RS485 remote monitoring with embedded elevator system, the system through the CAN bus and RS485 state transition between the bus, real-time collection and transmission from the operation of the elevator control board information. The applications are programmed by LabWindows/CVI, that can remote monitoring program and it can complete the operation of the elevator monitoring and controlling.Paper gives the details of the chip LM3S2016 ARM Cortex-M3 core elevator remote monitoring system hardware architecture, communication protocols and software design. The paper introduces the hardware structure of the communicational module, the basic module and the display module. Communication protocol with the host computer and slave communication in this paper is designed as CAN bus and RS485 communication protocol between the bus, including the format of the information, the state command and control orders. Finally, the elevator control system through experiments, which the system is running with good performance, interactive interface is simple.
