Abstract


Sanwa Bank Dalian Branch was established in 1993, a Japanese-owned bank , is committed to the establishment of branches of foreign-funded enterprises in Dalian open foreign exchange business. The main business of foreign currency bank deposits and loans , trade balance , foreign exchange trading . Dalian Branch of the credit business is mainly funded enterprises to provide a variety of short-term loans and long-term project loans , which occupies most of the short-term liquidity loans ratio . In the first two to three years to build the line of credit business is relatively small, mainly for a few large Japanese companies for working capital loans and fixed assets and long-term loans. From 1996 onward, due to the head office to further relax lending targets and profit targets continues to improve, Dalian Branch began to expand the size of credit during the period 1996-1997 , a large number of foreign-funded enterprises to provide financing , most of which is short-term liquidity capital loans. As the loan management loopholes , beginning from the end of 1997 , there have been massive branches overdue loans . Head office in early 1998 stopped the Dalian Branch loan authorization. Since that date, the bank's credit business basically stopped , all relevant personnel mainly focused on the recovery of loans . This article will use the case method , for Sanwa Bank Dalian Branch of credit management system , policies , procedures and other relevant parties launched a more comprehensive analysis and research. I hope we can learn to summarize the experience and lessons to be learned , there is a similar situation for the development of banks to provide useful help .
