Abstract

People demand for broadband wireless communications to promote the development of wireless LANs . But before all manufacturers introduced wireless LAN products are incompatible with each other , which makes the slow development of the market and the product is expensive, and only traces in unsuitable or unable to use wired networking occasions. With industrial standards mature , especially in the IEEE802.11 wireless LAN standards , the wireless LAN gained rapid development , more and more manufacturers into technology research and marketing efforts , the wireless LAN in the communications market in the 's share has been steadily improving . This paper studies the IEEE 802.11/11b physical layer baseband portion of relevant technologies, including IEEE 802.11 channel facing the characteristics , channel estimation , and modulation and about receiving technology. Main contents are as follows : The first chapter briefly describes the history of IEEE802.11 wireless LAN standard IEEE 802.11 networks and structures. The second chapter provides an overview of some of the norms IEEE802.11/11b baseband , and the structure of the transmitter for a summary description . Designation IEEES02.11 Chapter focuses facing indoor wireless channel characteristics , the model to explain the proposed channel estimation theory . The fourth chapter is a focus of this article . In this chapter, and the code word for the CCK modulation characteristics described in detail , followed by elaborate several CCK we use in the receiver solution algorithms, including additive noise channel receiver, the maximum likelihood , based on the channel matched the RAKE receiver filter , a RAKE receiver with ISI removed (i.e., RAKE-ISI), with ISI and ICI delete RAKE receiver ( i.e. RAKE-ISI/ICI) and a decision feedback equalizer. Chapter V is to report on the receiver performance simulation situation. Simulation described first ordinance , and then out mountain each simulation results and to make comparisons and analysis. Chapter VI makes a summary of research work , insufficient analysis and possible improvements . Meanwhile, also on the future development of wireless LAN outlook .
