Abstract


Objective To study the RUNT related transcription factor factor 3 ( Runts - related transcription factor 3 of RUNX3 ) and DNA methyl transferase 1 (DNA methyltransferase 1, DNMT1) expression in hepatocellular carcinoma (primary hepatocellular carcinoma, HCC) its relationship with clinicopathological features , and discuss its clinical significance . Methods Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (Reverse transcription-Polymerase chain reaction, RT-PCR) to detect the 43 patients with HCC cancer tissues and their corresponding cancer adjacent tissues in of RUNX3 mRNA expressions of DNMT1 mRNA expression . RUNX3 expression in hepatoma tissues decreased significantly higher expressions of DNMT1 expression ; RUNX3 expression down with the differentiation degree (P lt; 0.05), while no obvious gender, age , HbsAg , AFP vein tumor thrombus and TNM staging ( P gt; 0.05 ) ; elevated expressions of DNMT1 expression , histological grade and TNM stage vein tumor thrombus related (P lt; 0.05), with gender, age, HbsAg, of AFP there was no significant relationship ( P gt ; 0.05) . RUNX3 and DNMT1 expression of a negative correlation (r = -0.2059, P lt; 0.05). Conclusion RUNX3 gene in hepatocellular carcinoma and downregulated expressions of DNMT1 expression increased , may be associated with the occurrence of liver cancer development ; high expression of DNMT1 down to some extent involved in the regulation of expression of RUNX3 gene .
