Abstract


Based on the practical situation of exploration and scientific & technical research, this paper provides demonstrations for the basic idea on the overall design and construction of exploration database in Liaohe Oilfield. The method for designing exploration database is studied and discussed according to the data model Epicentre from international Petroleum Open Software Community (POSC) and the standards for data storage and exchange. This paper proposes the overall design program for complete construction of exploration database as well as the designing and implementing program for specific applied system in Liaohe Oilfield.On basis of database and network technology and POSC international standards, the overall design of exploration database in Liaohe Oilfield is developed using Epientre exploration data model and internationally prevailing three-layer architecture. Included in the database are major data involved in exploration research such as seismic, logging and drilling. Combined with the characteristics of exploration practice, the program analyzed the development of complex applied system and the resulting data of applied system of exploration interpretation workstation and realized parts of the functions of specific applied system.
