Abstract


(ESIN) objective: to observe the elastic intramedullary nail and external fixator (EF), the curative effect of treating children femoral fractures, and compared their treatment indications and complications of children femoral fractures, used to guide clinical. Materials and methods: to collect the tianjin orthopaedic hospital pediatric ward 1 - December, 2006 hospitalized due to femoral fractures cases of application of elastic intramedullary nail treatment and shandong university of Chinese medicine affiliated hospital from January 2006 to March 2006 application of orthopedic ward children femoral fractures treated with external fixator, compared two groups in age, fracture type, fracture and treatment of complications. Results: by contrast, elastic intramedullary nail and external fixator in the patients' age, fracture location, fracture type are applicable, but significantly lower incidence of complications, elastic intramedullary nailing on long spiral elastic intramedullary nail fracture curative effect, less external fixator.
