Abstract

Objective during the period from March 2009 to September the health checkup men in North China Coal Medical College Hospital to conduct research to explore different alcohol consumption, to start drinking age, drinking age, drinking frequency and drinking type of the body's liver function , while observing the changes of oxidative stress factor in the serum malondialdehyde (MDA), metallothionein (MT) content, clear drinking on the degree of liver injury, as well as clinical interventions and health education to provide information support for provide the basis for the development of health services policy. Method of data collection: the line health checkup of 174 men in the North China Coal Medical College Hospital from March 2009 to September, as the object of study, the use of a unified self-made questionnaire conducted a questionnaire survey. Inclusion criteria: (1) age greater than 18 years of age; (2) volunteered to participate in this survey. Exclusion criteria: (1) age greater than 80 years of age; (2) Drinking data not fill or other important information incomplete; (3) to stop drinking, addicted to the liver infection, drugs and toxic liver injury, suffering from diabetes, hepatitis, cirrhosis of the liver and tumor major diseases. Conduct a survey by the uniform training of professionals qualified by trained health technicians in the field measurement of height, weight. Serum aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), R-glutamyl GGT (GGT) and other related auxiliary test results provided by the medical center of North China Coal Medical College Hospital, biochemical tests in the same laboratory by experienced, skilled professional doctors operation is complete. 2 Blood samples were collected: informed consent, the early morning of the date of examination taking more than 12 h fasting venous blood 5 ml heparin and centrifuged, and extract serum, placed in the low-temperature refrigerator tested. Blood collection time in the morning 7:00-7:30 laboratory testing: serum oxidative stress factor of malondialdehyde (MDA) was measured by thiobarbituric acid (Thibabituric Acid TBA) method, free radical scavengers metal sulfur protein (MT) were measured using a double antibody sandwich ELISA, the All tests help of professional experiments operator kit was purchased from Nanjing Jiancheng Bioengineering Institute. 4 Statistical Methods: All information processing data with Excel 2003 database, SPSS 13.0 statistical software. Measurement data to X ± S, the frequency count data. The stratified analysis to control for confounding factors, measurement data multiple samples were few compared using analysis of variance and q test to count data rate comparison using the chi-square test. Results 1 selected studies the object total of 174 people, all male, and 138 of them drinking, 36 were never drinking. In addition to the education and physical activity, alcohol group and non-drinking group constitutes the difference was statistically significant (P lt; 0.05), each difference between the two groups was not statistically significant (P gt; 0.05), indicating that the two groups between comparable with that. Drinking serum ALT, AST, GGT content higher than the non-drinking group. Different alcohol consumption, different start drinking age, different years of drinking, the different drinking frequency, different types of drinking among the group of serum ALT, AST, GGT content differences were statistically significant. With the increase in alcohol consumption, drinking age in advance, extend the life of drinking, drinking frequency to accelerate three indicators tendency to increase, indicating the extent of liver injury is getting worse, different types of drinking red wine on the extent of liver injury lightest, followed by beer, wine, liquor mixed beer is the most serious. 3 Drinking serum MDA content than not drinking group, The MT content lower than the non-drinking group. Different alcohol consumption, different start drinking age, different drinking age, the different drinking frequency, the serum MDA MT content differences between groups of different types of drinking were statistically significant. With the increase in alcohol consumption, drinking age in advance, drinking life extension, drinking frequency to accelerate the tendency to increase the content of MDA the MT content decreased, more and more intense oxidative stress, caused by different types of drinking oxidation the extent of the stress response lightest red wine, followed by beer, wine, liquor mixed beer most serious. Conclusion 1 increase in alcohol consumption, drinking age in advance, extend the life of drinking, frequent drinking, drinking strong liquor can increase alcohol consumption on liver function damage. 2 with the increase in alcohol consumption, extend the years of drinking, drinking frequency accelerated oxidative stress gradually strong, delayed start drinking age, drinking red wine and other alcohol content of alcohol can reduce the degree of oxidative stress, thereby reducing damage to the liver .
