Abstract


EVA (Economic Value Added) is value-based management philosophy introduced by U. S. Stern Stewart Management Consulting Firm in the late 80’s. As a business management tool, EVA can measure business performance. It is a key driver for creating wealth for shareholders. It can overcome defect that the accounting profit is difficult to correctly reflect enterprises operating conditions and neglect the real cost of equity capital, and now this indicator has become a more mature level and more comprehensive indicators to measure business performance. It is a measurement system based on value creation, reflecting the value created by business, directing business-oriented objectives from the size of the boot to the value-oriented.This article analyzes the current performance evaluation index system of Qinghai Oilfield, comparing traditional enterprise performance evaluation such as market value method, accounting income method, residual income method, cash flow method and builds performance evaluation system based on EVA, combined with the practical situation in Qinghai Oilfield, taking measures including the evaluation system construction, stepwise decomposition of performance index, perfecting constraints and incentive system, organizational security, to protect the implementation of performance evaluation index system. This research is important to guide business activities of enterprises, improve enterprise competitiveness, use companies limited resources rationally.
