Abstract

Nanoribbons have attracted intense interest due to their excellent optical and electrical properties, resulting in wide applications in nanoelectronics, biosensors and solar cells. This thesis concentrates mainly on synthesizing large-scale, high-purity and uniform vanadate nanoribbons, studying their corresponding optical, electrical and magnetic properties. The main results are summarized as follows:(1) Large-scale, high-purity and uniformβ-AgVO3 nanoribbons have been synthesized by a facile hydrothermal route without employing surfactants or templates. The as-prepared nanoribbons were up to several hundred micrometers in length, 200 nm in width, 20 nm in thickness. They showed interesting SERS effect using 4,4-Biphenyldithiol as model molecules. Theβ-AgVO3 nanoribbons directly as a substrate not only had SERS effect to apoTf and Tf, but also monitored the conversion of apoTf and Tf in turn. AgVO3 nanoribbons were modified on glassy carbon electrode, then Pt nanoparticles were deposited on modified electrode from electrodeposition. The modified electrode had excellent electrocatalytical effert to methanol oxidation.(2) Large-scale, high-purity, and uniform Sr2V2O7 nanoribbons were obtained by a facile hydrothermal method. The as-prepared nanoribbons were up to several hundred micrometers in length, 200-600 nm in width, 20 nm in thickness. Sr2V2O7 nanoribbon modified electrode displayed excellent electrochemical property and high sensitivity for the detection of DA. The modified electrode can be used for the simultaneous electrochemical determination of DA and AA. The modified electrode was reproducible and stable. It offered an effective and low-cost method for the applications of detection biomolecules.(3) Large-scale, high-purity, and uniform FeVO4 nanoribbons were obtained by a facile hydrothermal method. The as-prepared nanoribbons were up to several hundred micrometers in length, 200 nm in width, 20 nm in thickness. Reaction time and pH value had important effect on the morphology evolution of the intermediates involved in the formation. FeVO4 nanoribbons had good magnetic hysteresis loop and potential applications. It was proved that there was a binding between vanadate and apoTf from UVs. There was a enrichment effect to apoTf.
