Objeetive:To evaluate the clinical therapeutic effect of Electro-acupuncture on Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia patients.Methods:sixty-five cases were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group , the treatment group was treated with electro-acupuncture at Shenshu、Huiyang once daily,4 weeks as one course,and the control group was treated with meditation once daily, 4 weeks as one course.The International Prostatic Hyperplasia Symptoms(IPSS), Life Of Quality(QOL),The Maximal Urinary Flow Rate(Qmax), Residential Urine (RU), and the volume of the Prostate(v) were observed and analyzed for assetmant of the therapeutic effects before and after treatment.Results: The total effective rate of the treatment group was 90.91%, which of the control group was 93.75%. The treatment group was superior to the control group in improving symptoms of yeniaoduo and niaopin,but was unsuperior in changing the volume of the prostate. The two groups can both decrease IPSS、QOL、Ru and increase the Qmax,but there was no significant statistical differences between the two groups( P> 0.05) .Conclusion:1.The electroacupuncture treatment can significantly relieve clinieal symptoms,especially the symptoms of yeniaoduo and niaopin,of BPHpatients,and increase the Qmax and decrease the PVR.2. The electroacupuncture treatment can improve DI and the function of save urinary of bladder of BPH patients.
