At present, China 's vocational and technical education has entered a fast track of development , whether the number of vocational colleges , vocational students in enrollment , has reached an unprecedented level . At the same time, however, the development of higher vocational education is facing many difficulties and problems . Such as the characteristics of higher vocational education ? How to embody the characteristics of higher vocational education ? Research characteristics and national higher education policy from the status quo of the history of the development of higher vocational education , vocational education start to explore a school of higher vocational education ideology, personnel training objectives, teaching characteristics , summed up the educational characteristics of higher vocational education , and analysis of the problems faced by this stage of higher vocational education , and focus on research and explore the issue of how to embody vocational education in the vocational education school characteristics . The study selected the Case of Lanzhou Petrochemical College of Technology , to investigate their school characteristics , found that school characteristics , the school 's main problem : the teachers' general lack of practical ability , the low proportion of \group of the lack of teaching materials ; practice teaching rely mainly on practical training base to complete the training base is relatively backward technology and equipment , short time students under factory internship practice teaching structure is irrational , and summary and analysis of the reasons for these problems . Solve the above problem , the following countermeasures and suggestions : reasonable teacher knowledge and ability structure , \measures; strengthen the construction and management of professional teaching , improve teaching management , such as the appraisal system , to encourage teachers to prepare teaching materials , the use of the new materials to the establishment of a special trial program and assessment methods ; a reasonable practice teaching structure , changing school concept , actively explore students' extracurricular internship the difficulties faced by the place , and set up on the campus and research base analysis , countermeasures founder campus research production base , and to open up internship places for students and teachers .
