In recent years , the machinery equipment fault diagnosis larger development at home and abroad , and has played a significant role in the national product . Diesel engine as part of the mechanical equipment in the field , due to the special nature of its use makes fault diagnosis more important . The fault diagnosis technology is built in a variety of technology and integration of the emerging theory of a multi-disciplinary comprehensive technology, carry out fault diagnosis of diesel engine technology can help us to find fault , to prevent the accident , and at the same time be able to bring a potentially huge economic benefits and social benefits. Starting from the point of view of engineering applications , locomotive diesel engine as the object of study , the application of wavelet transform , wavelet packet , specifically study the failure mechanism of a diesel engine fault intelligent diagnosis based on the vibration signal fault feature extraction and fault diagnosis method and diesel engine fault diagnosis and analysis effectively . The fuel system is an important part of the diesel engine , the system work conditions directly affect the combustion process of the diesel engine , determines the performance of the diesel engine . This paper systematically analyzed the working process of the fuel system , Plunger ( high pressure oil line plunger , delivery valve couplings , needle valve couplings ) , fuel injection process , such as the failure mechanism and its impact analysis to discuss a variety of typical fault state fuel pressure fluctuations , and on this basis , extracted from the high-pressure tubing pressure fluctuation signal , extract the fault parameters using pattern recognition technology to realize intelligent diagnosis of fuel system failure .
