Abstract


As the the Agent technology continues to mature , Agent-based applications , especially on the Internet will be more and more . Two questions on the Internet Agent-based system development is bound to face Agent Communication : knowledge - level communication between the agent and the communication between Agent System . For Agent Communication , on the basis of the current domestic and international research , this paper, on the Internet Multi-Agent KQML and XML - based communication framework . We use the the KQML Agent knowledge - level communication , using XML parser package the KQML language to solve the communication problems between the different Agent systems . In this paper, the structure and function of the communication framework module . Need to communicate in Agent Agent according to their own knowledge base , calculation and reasoning , take appropriate vocabulary to express . And then use the the KQML module will these messages generate KQML language format . Followed by the XML module encapsulation KQML format language , generates an XML document transmission Agent System . The function module is divided into the Agent module KQML module and XML module . Agent module is responsible for the design features of the Agent the KQML module responsible for the design of knowledge - level communication between the Agent XML module is responsible for the Agent KQML format of the inter-system communication language package, then transfer to an XML document . The benefits of doing so is in the Agent system design will separate Agent structural design and communication , reduce the difficulty of system design , and can achieve cross - platform communication . Finally, the application of the communication framework discussed , environment and examples of application in the Java language to develop a cross-platform multi - agent system , Agent applet designed application , and then embed it web page, the user through the landing page to be used . MACF-KQML XML methods to achieve communication between the Agent to solve the problem of Agent and Agent system communication between different platforms .
