Abstract


In order to build wide area network - based distributed virtual reality system , Web3D Union launched a new three-dimensional interactive graphics specification X3D ( Extensible 3D specification ) . The standard on July 29, 2003 to win the recognition of the ISO organization , a new draft international standard ( ISO/IEC19775 , 19776,19777 ) . Because of the many advantages of the standard , we intended to adopt the construction can be released in a public online digital campus system . The research content is built based on the the X3D digital campus system will face some key issues , and propose appropriate solutions and instances . The article first introduces a distributed virtual reality system on its characteristics , structure and reference model , and domestic and foreign research status quo , which leads to the X3D technology background , and analysis from the structural system , language coding , transmission mode X3D technology to build the the WAN system of advantage , and then proposed using the X3D to build the overall vision of the system and the implementation strategy of the various components of the system are given . Finally, build the system in the face of the critical issues , propose solutions and concrete realization . X3D as an emerging technology research at home and abroad , little , many problems need to be on the theory and practice of . This article focuses mainly some of the key problems faced when using X3D build a distributed virtual reality system for these problems , there are also many other technology - based programs have been proposed , but X3D - based program has just started . The focus of this study include the following aspects: written in Java and X3D parser X3D specification modeling construct virtual incarnation of LOD technology , read the X3D file database , user interaction scene .
