Abstract


Insurance is an important part of finance. The development of insurance helps to maintain the health of the financial system and the stability of the economic system. Life insurance has become an important member of the financial system due to its huge and stable accumulation of money. As a new industry in China, life insurance is growing fast. This paper took Guangzhou’s life insurance market as the research object. By analyzing its demand structure and supply structure of life insurance, try to find out some problems and their reasons.This paper can be divided into seven parts. The first part is a preface, which introduces a summary of life insurance and the purpose of this study. The second part makes an economic analysis of demand structure and supply structure of life insurance. The definitions of demand structure and supply structure of life insurance, together with the determinants of demand and supply of life insurance, are analyzed in this part. In the part, author makes a probable study of the Guangzhou life insurance market, finding the development of Guangzhou life insurance having been behind Beijing and Shanghai. In the following two parts, the demand structure and supply structure of Guangzhou life insurance are analyzed respectively from different aspects in details. The conclusions and suggestions are made in the last two parts.
