Abstract


Toni Morrison is distinguished African-American female writer to be awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature. She works from different angles to show the readers of blacks living in both black and white cultural conflict as well as their psychological and mental state, the performance of the national cultural traditions while exploring the blacks self with blacks mind, especially black women double oppression humiliation and repression. \The theoretical interpretation of the work is still one of the few. The paper uses the the Three Realms theory of Lacan \Lacan, human psychology is divided into three realms - the Imaginary, Symbolic and Real.
