Abstract

Plant Landscape growing importance in the construction of urban gardens. Emphasis on qualitative analysis of current research and theoretical studies of the status quo, the attempt from the case studies to explore the general law in the plant landscaping, and quantitative research. Literature reading is the basis of research, preparation of Hangzhou West Lake Scenic Area several field surveys, the study identified 34 points again and again more measurable results. In this study, through the investigation of these cases with the measured, basis points, lines, basic spatial characteristics of the surface and Waterfront environmental conditions, each of them classified, analysis and evaluation, and each plant landscaping summary, the results found that: point-like the independent plant landscaping suitable good sight channel and line-of-sight of open or semi-open space, types of trees and shrubs average of 5 or more, 60% of the most senior or of times senior single species type of control the level of cover, forming characteristics; linear sequence plant landscaping formed through the rule-based approach or natural rhythm and rhyme, equal distance, the same type of plant or 1 to 2 species of trees to form a basic sequence; planar modular plant landscaping, unifying theme, and a small amount of the keynote species are conducive to the formation of an inseparable whole landscape. Last comprehensive analysis of various types of data, from the aspects of the plant species, height level, the number of indicators to quantify the study found that in the Hangzhou West Lake scenic area, the success of the plant landscaping have some commonalities: 1, fewer plant species plant landscaping ornamental groups in the United States for open space, and easier to form a straight line or curve sequence changes, embodied in a unified rhythm and cadence. Small area of ??small-scale plant landscaping a better species richness; 2 different types of landscape plants have different standards for height and level, mainly in the middle plant height defined.
