Abstract


Objective: Esophageal and gastric cardia is of a higher incidence of tumors . Because both tumor diagnosed more than in the middle and late postoperative five-year survival rate is very low, and therefore determine the high-risk groups , early diagnosis is an effective way to improve their survival . The incidence of esophageal and gastric cardia nitrosamine compounds , nutritional deficiencies \\ bad eating habits, smoking , alcohol consumption, fungal infections and other factors . However, not all individuals exposed to these environmental risk factors are suffering from esophageal cancer, gastric cardia . This addition to environmental factors , genetic background is an important factor of these tumors occur . Thymidylate synthase (thymidylate synthase, TS) is a key enzyme in the synthesis of DNA , which catalyzes the Deoxyuridine acid (dUMP) methylation, which is converted to deoxythymidine acid ( dTMP ) in the synthesis and repair of DNA from important role also major chemotherapy drug targeting enzymes . TS gene polymorphism can affect TS transcription in cells , the expression efficiency of TS gene polymorphism and cancer , the study of the development of relations on the prevention and treatment of tumors of important guiding significance . The purpose of this study is to investigate the the TS gene 5 'untranslated region (untranslatedregion, UTR) tandem repeats and G / C single nucleotide polymorphisms and 3'UTR 6bp deletion or insertion polymorphism of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma ( esophageal squamous cell carcinoma ESCC) and gastric cardia adenocarcinoma (gastric cardiac adenocarcinoma, GCA) and lymph node metastasis .
