Abstract


Objective: Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) is difficult to predict the prognosis of a heterogeneous group of diseases , so the disease activity and efficacy monitoring, and evaluation of the prognosis is very important . In recent years, many studies have shown that adhesion molecules and tumor development are closely related. Looking for monitoring the condition and prognosis of NHL important biological markers , adhesion molecules gradually aroused the concern of many scholars , especially intercellular adhesion molecule -1 (ICAM-1). ICAM-1 belongs to a member of the immunoglobulin family , a molecular weight of 90KD, the ligand is lymphocyte function- associated antigen -1 (LFA-1). ICAM-1/LFA-1 widely distributed in the blood cells and non- blood cells , can regulate cell - cell and cell - matrix interactions . Recently , in normal subjects and patients with inflammation can be detected in the serum of one kinds of soluble forms of ICAM-1 (sICAM-1), a molecular weight of 82KD, was also reported in the serum of many cancer patients increased levels of sICAM-1 , as malignant melanoma, acute lymphocytic leukemia , Hodgkin's lymphoma and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. This enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method for NHL patients before and after treatment in plasma sICAM-1 levels were detected and followed up for 8 ~ 9 cycles of chemotherapy in patients with recurrence and survival , simultaneous analysis of pre-treatment plasma sICAM-1 levels and disease clinicopathological characteristics , efficacy and erythrocyte sedimentation rate , serum LDH, serum β2 -microglobulin and IPI grading between prognostic indicators to explore plasma sICAM-1 levels to the NHL disease , efficacy and prognostic evaluation of significance.
