Abstract

2,5-dimethylpyrazine-1,4-dioxide and thiocyanato anion have been selected as bridging ligands and three novel complexes have been designed and synthesized, namely, the one-dimensional complex [Cu(L1)(SCN)2]n (1) and the two-dimensional complexes [Co(L1)(SCN)2]n (2)、[Cd(L1)(SCN)2]n (3). And the same time, five novel complexes with of benzene-1,4-dinitro-2,3,5,6-tetracarboxylate (L2) as bridging ligand have been designed and synthesized, namely, the two-dimensional complexes {[Mn2(L2)(DMF)4]?2H2O}n (4) 、[Zn2(L2)(DMF)4(H2O)2]n (5) 、{[Co2(L2)(DMF)4(H2O)2]}n (6), binuclear complex [Cu2(L2)(DMF)4(H2O)]?2DMF (7), and the one-dimensional complex [Cd2(L2)(Bpy)2(H2O)2]n (8). The eight complexes were characterized by elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy, and their crystal structures were determined by X-ray crysrallography. The variable-temperature magnetic susceptibilities for complexes (1)、(2)、(4)、(6) and (7) were measured at 4-300 K and the magnetic data were analyzed. The major characteristics and the contributions of this work are as following: 1. The three novel polynulear complexes have been designed and synthesized with 2, 5-dimethylpyrazine-1,4-dioxide as bridging ligands, and this is the first report dealing with 2,5-dimethylpyrazine-1,4-dioxide as bridging ligand. 2. The certain information of the magnetic coupling dealing with 2,5-dimethylpyrazine-1,4-dioxide as bridging ligand was obtained by studying the relative complexes. 3. The five novel polynulear complexes have been designed and synthesized with benzene-1,4-dinitro-2,3,5,6-tetracarboxylate as bridging ligand. 4. A ferromagnetic coupling complex was first synthesized by using
