Abstract


China’s peace development needs a good external environment, specially needs a stable peripheral security environment. China stuck to the important diplomatic task of developing neighborhood relations since 1978,which has brought China the better peripheral environment. In China’s peripheral environment, however, the Northeast Asia’s stabilizing and developing situation has not been realized now. Because so many great nations have benefit in Northeast Asia that it is the focal point those nations compete. In the great nation benefit’s mutual competition, the peace of Northeast Asia is a big problem. More importantly, though the worldwide cold war structure already disintegrated after the Eastern European drastic change and Soviet Union disintegration ,the Northeast Asia has actually been preserving political-military structure of the cold war. In the Northeast Asia, US, Japan and South Korea have not established the normal diplomatic relation with North Korea until now, at the same time, there are various constitutive contradictions, historical piled-up grievances and territory conflicts among those nations in Northeast Asia, all which fall Northeast Asia into unsafe situation .It is important for china to deal with the Sino-North Korean relations, which is beneficial to develop friendly relation between China and her neighbor in the complicated and diversified region environment.This article analyzes the influencing factors, the primary coverage and the essential features of the Sino-North Korean relations around the cold war, and then try to seek accurate localization of the Sino-North Korean relations today.In the first part, this article introduces the selected topic reason and the significance. North Korea is the country which has the geography relations with China, which is also a socialism country just as China. The Sino-North Korean relations receives many kinds of overlapping factors. The author believed that the geography characteristic is the primary factor to the Sino-North Korean relations from beginning to end of the cold war, which has brought China and North Korea the blending and homology of the tradition and ideology. After the cold war ended, the globalized tide affects the geography factor inevitably, which causes the Sino-North Korean relations presenting the different gradual characteristic in the different historical period.In the second part, this article mainly analyzes the Sino-North Korean relations during the cold war, through the influencing factor, the primary coverage and the essential feature. Owing to the geography factor, the historical and cultural traditions and ideology’s influence, China and North Korea had formed the union partnership during the cold war, which obviously had the international relations characteristic under the cold war background, namely differentiating the enemy and ourselves according to the ideology. In addition, this part analyzes the initial globalization affected the Sino-North Korean relations and the setup of the Northeast Asia.In the third part, this article explains the Sino-North Korean relations’ developing evolution after Soviet Union disintegration and the Eastern European drastic change, and especially, it discusses the essence of the Sino-North Korean relation normalization under the tendency of globalization. Under the globalized tide, the three factors to the Sino-North Korean relations have all changed. Globalization is the overall background of international relations this time. Having experienced the Eastern European drastic change and Soviet Union disintegration, the socialism falls into the ebb tide. The adjustment of China foreign policy especially about the Sino-South Korean establishing diplomatic relations, unprecedentedly impacted the Sino-North Korean relations, even which was once fallen into the freezing point. Through the common pursue of the two countries ,they formed finally a new nation relations which characterized the mutual confidence and benefit of each other, and then the relations between the two countries developed along the right lines.In the fourth part, this article mainly introduces the Sino-North Korean relations in the 21st century. Through the joint effort of both sides during the 1990s, China and North Korea have formed the new partnership finally. But until now Korean Peninsula is not“tranquil”. The three major problems in Korean Peninsula, namely the peaceful unification of the Korean Peninsula, the nuclear crisis of North Korean and the reform mode of North Korea, immediately affect China and North Korea relations. This part of the article analyzes three major problems one by one, and then rationally analyzes the present situation and the future of the Sino-North Korean relations from the pro and con.
