Abstract


The financial crisis of Asia told us that a good information disclosure system of commercial banks is beneficial to the avoidance of financial crisis. Timely and valid information disclosure mechanism is not only the important part of bank supervision, but also the important impetus to performance improvement of bank operation. Heretofore, to strengthen the transparency of bank system operation has gained general acceptability all over the international bank industry.After the entry of China into WTO, it is essential for commercial banks in China to melt into the world financial system and follow the international practice of disclosing information to public. For decades, the information disclosure of China’s commercial banks has been unsound, due to insufficiently disclosed information and non- standardization of the disclosure in terms of content, manner and procedure. It is important and realistic to perfect the system of information disclosure of commercial banks of China.In view of this, in contrast with the New Basel Capital Accord, this article focuses on information disclosure of China’s commercial bank in legal perspective.This article includes four parts:Chapter I" Information disclosure of commercial banks." Firstly, this chapter discusses the commercial banks and information of banks. Then, on the basis of above, this part discusses the necessity of information disclosure of commercial banks.Chapter II "The legal regulations of information disclosure of commercial banks. "Based on chapter 1, through analyzing and examining the theory of regulations of information disclosure of commercial banks and the relevant regulations and practices of other nations, it concludes that the law is the effective way to regulate information disclosure of commercial banks.Chapter III" The regulations of information disclosure of commercial
