Abstract


[ Background and Purpose ] diabetic nephropathy (diabetic nephropathy, DN) is one of the common reasons that lead to chronic renal insufficiency . Research over the years has been the focus of diabetic nephropathy in the glomeruli. In recent years, with tubulointerstitial lesions in kidney disease progression and prognosis in the role of research , found that renal tubular epithelial cells have a negligible role in the development of diabetic nephropathy . Rosiglitazone (rosiglitazone, RGZ) In recent years, the clinical application of a thiazole TZDs ( [thiazolidinediones] , TZDs) insulin -sensitizing agent , peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (peroxisome proliferator-activated Feteplorγ PPARγ) ligand , clinical mainly as oral hypoglycemic agents to treat type 2 diabetes . A series of studies have shown that , in addition to improve the body 's insulin resistance and other metabolic regulatory role , TZDs also has anti-inflammatory , affecting cell proliferation and transdifferentiation , anti- organ fibrosis and other role . These effects closely linked with kidney disease . TZDs class of drugs on the direct role of the renal tubular cells in the diabetic state at home and abroad have not yet reported , the study was designed to investigate the protective effect and mechanism of rosiglitazone on rat renal tubular epithelial cells under high glucose , as clinical TZDs drugs provide a theoretical basis for the treatment of diabetic nephropathy .
