DCS (distributed control system) have been used in modern industrial scene for many years, although in recent years continue to be the challenges of the new control system, but its huge market applications as well as technological advances continue to be proposed to adapt to the new needs of the development direction will it will always exist in the future for a long period of time and move forward. Fieldbus developed rapidly in recent years, a data bus, it is mainly to solve the digital communication between the industrial field of intelligent instrumentation, controllers, actuators and other field devices, as well as on-site control equipment and advanced control systems information transmission problems. HART communication protocol as the the digital extensions communication based on the 4-20mA agreement has for the industrial sector is widely accepted, and is becoming the smart meter industry \Many countries and organizations have committed to the study of the HART protocol, co-driven by broad prospects and huge market demand, the types of products in this area has been very complete, and the number continues to increase. Many digital communication protocol, HART protocol retains the original 4-20mA systems such mechanisms provide a backward-compatible upgrade to the user without the original system completely eliminated, and significant savings in capital investment. Intelligent devices with HART communication capabilities can greatly reduce capital investment to improve the information management capabilities of the system as a whole, so every sense compared with other similar agreements have strong market competitiveness. High reliability is the first requirement of the process control system, redundant technology is a technique often used in the computer system reliability design is one of the most effective way to improve the reliability of the computer system. Unity of purpose in order to achieve high reliability and low failure rate, usually used in control system design and application of appropriate redundant technology. Firstly a brief introduction of the HART protocol, and analyzed each layer specification. Also analyzed in the DCS system the underlying interface level redundant technology. Subsequently, the paper describes the detailed analysis of how the module hardware design and software design. Finally, as the results show, the module performance parameters and test results are listed in the Appendix.
