In recent years , with the rapid development of computer technology, network communication technology and multimedia technology , embedded IP network monitoring system has become the development trend of the current monitoring system . In this context , the subject on TI's DaVinci platform , an embedded video monitoring system based on wireless IP network . The system 's core technology is the DaVinci technology . DaVinci technology including DaVinci processor , Leonardo da Vinci , software , DaVinci development tools and components , it is an innovative digital multimedia technology : the DaVinci software architecture creatively introduced middleware technology , based on the set mechanisms an application can seamlessly meet XDM standard algorithm package is called the efficient use of on-chip resources ; Leonardo da Vinci hardware includes powerful and efficient ARM9 DSP dual-core processor , efficient audio and video processing subsystem , and a rich peripheral resources ( NAND Flash, 256M DDR2 memory ) . These features make the da Vinci system in high real-time requirements , has the great advantage of the large amount of data processing applications in video surveillance system . In this paper, Leonardo da Vinci as a development platform, mainly to complete the development of a monitoring system hardware modifications and applications . Hardware side completed a video capture encoding module , audio capture and encoding modules , network transmission module design ; software XDM standard compile audio and video codec algorithm , and create a Codec Server, based on the actual application call DSP completed CODEC ; addition structures embedded development environment , the platform NAND Flash download U-boot, cut and embedded Linux kernel compiled using UBOOT kernel and root file system load of different ways to achieve the embedded Linux operating system to the Leonardo da Vinci platform of transplantation . Finally, with reference to the relevant literature modify RALINK 2573 USB Wireless LAN Driver and transplanted to the Da Vinci platform . The paper also summarizes the points and issues in system development , testing and analysis of the performance of the system , and further improvement of the system proposed recommendations .
