Abstract


The TCP / IP protocol-based Internet Since the nineties, the network size, the number of users and the volume of business to grow explosively, new network applications are emerging, dynamic network parameters. These make the situation even more serious network congestion and complexity. Congestion is likely to cause transmission delay and throughput quality of service (QoS) performance drop, seriously affecting the bandwidth, caching and other network resource utilization. So effectively solve the congestion problem for improving network performance is important, how to better prevent and control congestion has been a research area in recent years, the international network of hot issues. Internet at present only a single \enable existing congestion control strategy in many ways can not meet people's needs. Studies show, TCP congestion control is essentially a more conservative strategy, it is not at all network conditions can ensure its good performance. Internet routers commonly used in the traditional first-come, first-served scheduling algorithms and \Since the introduction of the corresponding router congestion control mechanism, so that the network itself can be involved in the control of resources work more effectively to achieve the monitoring and prevention of congestion, so in recent years, IP network congestion control strategy become a hot research topic, IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) recommendations on the use of the Internet router active queue management mechanisms involved in the IP layer congestion control as a means of Random Early Detection (RED) algorithm is an IETF recommended an active queue management algorithm. Based on simulation studies from the router in the current IP network congestion control strategy. The main contents are as follows: 1. The RED algorithm conducted in-depth research, their advantages and disadvantages are analyzed theoretically and verified by simulation algorithm has been improved ARED advantages: RED by adjusting parameters maxp and automatic setup parameters wq, maintaining a forecast to average queue size and reduces the sensitivity of RED parameters. 2 GREEN algorithms for simulation study, through the introduction of improved algorithm GREEN parameter K (t), in the event of a short connecting streams and low-bandwidth streams, can effectively utilize the link bandwidth, to achieve a higher fairness while maintaining high link utilization, low packet loss rate, short queue length. Also uses the IP precedence field as a convenience to realize the embedded RTT estimates.
