Clinical Study in Treating Chloasma with Hongyu Queban Capsule

Abstract


Objective: To study the influence of Hongyu Queban Capsule On the clinical symptoms E2, FSH T SOD and MDA. Method: Forty two cases were randomly divide into the treatment group (32 cases)and the control group(10 cases).Patients in treatment group were given Hongyu Queban Capsule.and patients in the control group were given VitC. VitE.With duration of 8 weeks.We observed the changes of clinical symptoma E2 FSH T SOD and MDA. Results: (1) The total disease effective rate was significantly higher in treatment group (85.1%) compared with that in control group(40%, P<0.01). (2) After therapy, the results showed that the melasma patients presented statistically significant increased levels of SOD, and decrease levels of E2 and T (P<0.01), and the treatment group were superior to the control group.3) After therapy, the treatment group can all alleviate the clinical symptoms, the improvement of average area of chloasma, and the average color of chloasma, and insomnia, and constipation in the treatment group are superior to those in the control group. Conclusions: Hongyu Queban Capsule can alleviate clinical symptoms of chloasma, and prompt SOD. Its efficiency on E2 and MDA is better than that of Vitamins group.
