Abstract


With the rapid development of computer technology and network communication technology and multimedia technology , widely used , the mass of the various types of information being collected , transport and application . The performance of multimedia information in addition to the initial single text , but also graphics, images , animation and video . This makes image retrieval more and more people's attention . This thesis is proposed for image retrieval Research a semantic image retrieval method based on Bayesian statistical learning , aimed at resolving the problem of the \rate and efficiency. The main work of this paper include the following aspects : ( 1 ) the image semantic model to establish the image semantic model and its representation and image semantic extraction method . (2) by image segmentation method and characteristics extraction strategy proposed a viable algorithm for image segmentation, and effectively reduce the iteration in the segmentation process several times, to improve the operating efficiency of the algorithm . (3) semantic classification technology to explore the design of semantic classifier based on Bayesian statistical learning methods , automatic annotation of image semantics . (4) The proposed semantic image retrieval system based on image semantic retrieval system prototype system framework and its functions and database design methodology .
