Abstract


Learner motivation is an important factor in the study of second language learning, has been the concern of many researchers and teachers, but also because of its variability. A large number of studies have demonstrated the impact of motivation on second language learning. Of the motivation of foreign language learners have been many achievements in the social psychology research, but most of them follow the path of Gardner and classic and extended mode, to explore the role of motivation for achievement. Empirical Study of the College Students' English Learning Motivation for China's domestic scene which is still relatively weak. This study used quantitative research methods, analysis of the relationship between the Chinese English learners Context motivation factors, as well as the composition and motivations strength. On this basis, we designed a Chinese Context English learning motivation questionnaire, the subjects were 192 non-English speaking undergraduates from four universities. Data factor analysis, the mean comparative analysis and multivariate analysis of variance using SPSS statistical software. The research results show that the originally proposed two hypothetical models established. The main findings of this paper are: 1) English learning motivation is composed by a variety of factors together complex structures. In the Chinese context, English learning motivation level of language and culture, personal development level, the nine elements of learning scenarios levels and four levels of the social environment level, are: language titer cultural learning evaluation, collective evaluation, individual needs, teachers curriculum evaluation, personal characteristics, and social requirements, certificates motivation and self-efficacy. 2) motivation component elements of personal factors, English proficiency and school
