Abstract


[Objective] To investigate the use of minimally invasive percutaneous plate fixation (MIPPO) \[Method ] October 2008 to April 2010 , the application of minimally invasive percutaneous plate fixation combined with proximal femoral locking compression plate fixation of intertrochanteric fracture of 40 cases , 23 males and 17 females , aged 60 to 93 years (mean 71.2 years ) , a retrospective analysis of the treatment effect . [Results ] 36 cases were followed up for 12 to 29 months ( mean follow-up time of 18.3 months) . Wound healing , infections and other complications . The fracture healed well , no malunion , screw loosening , plate fracture phenomenon . Fracture healing time of 3 to 6 months (mean 4.2 months) . 12 months after surgery for hip function evaluation ( the Harris scoring criteria , Table 1 ) , the rate of 89 % . [ Conclusion] The minimally invasive technique combined proximal femur locking compression plate fixation of intertrochanteric fracture trauma , reliable fixation to achieve fracture healing reduce ambulatory complications , the clinical value .
