Abstract


The evaluation of higher education is an important part of improving the quality of higher education. With the development of economy, the deepening of the higher education system and institutions of higher learning for social school autonomy to further expand the field of education to conform to the law of the development of market economy, the introduction of market mechanisms in the fierce competition in the face of higher education to the quality of survival, and promote development, the quality of education has become the lifeblood of higher education, Higher Education Evaluation more and more attention of the government and the community sector. 20 years, China's Higher Education Evaluation has made some achievements for all to see: With a more comprehensive understanding of Higher Education Evaluation Abroad theory and practice, the basic set up of China's Higher Education Evaluation theory and methodology of Higher Education Assessment practice mode, initially formed the basic framework of China's Higher Education Evaluation System. But after all, the Higher Education Evaluation in China started late, the construction of higher education assessment system is still in the exploratory stage. In contrast, the assessment of higher education in the United States has a long history, has accumulated a wealth of experience, a complete assessment program, clear assessment procedures and cycles as well as incentives and disincentives, and so on, the system developed satisfactorily. In this paper, comparative study on the evaluation system of higher education in China and the United States to analyze the different reasons and their advantages and disadvantages, to establish and improve higher education assessment system with Chinese characteristics, and promote the healthy development of China's higher education has a very important significance. The paper is divided into six parts, by five chapters body and Conclusion. The first chapter some of the major introduction to the concepts defined, literature review, meaning, purpose and methods, and research the feasibility analysis. Chapter II a comparative analysis of the Sino-US History and Development of Higher Education Evaluation System; Chapter comparative analysis method focuses on screen and analyze the evaluation system of higher education in China and the United States in the background, to assess the similarities and differences in the main assessment procedures; Chapter retrospective comparative analysis of assessment-oriented assessment of the nature and operation mechanism, more comprehensive grasp of the advantages and disadvantages of the two countries Higher Education Evaluation System and a thorough understanding of both similarities and differences in the correlation analysis, and basic conclusions. This is the main part of the paper, but also the difficulty lies. Chapter get some inspiration in the previous comparative analysis on the basis of proposed countermeasures to improve China's Higher Education Evaluation System, is considered to eliminate the negative impact of traditional culture on the construction of China's Higher Education Evaluation System: to strengthen the assessment of theoretical research and international exchange ; Third, we need to clarify the status and role of government, society, institutions of higher learning in educational assessment: Fourth, it is necessary to actively support the establishment of relatively independent of the government's social intermediary assessment organizations; Fifth, we must strengthen the construction of re-assessment agencies. Conclusion part of the description of the relevant issues and China's Higher Education Evaluation System for forward-looking. Through this research, hoping to help establish and improve China's Higher Education Evaluation System.
