Abstract


Establish a high-quality teachers are key to promoting quality education. New, teacher professional development has become the focus of education reform. Professional development of teachers in the teaching profession recognized as a prerequisite for professional development of teachers to discuss the problem, based on teachers 'professional development of self-consciousness as a fundamental, professional development within the knowledge base in the context of teachers' professional knowledge structure to support continued expansion, update process. Language teachers' professional development is professional development of teachers in language education in specific, this departure from the specific disciplines to discuss the professional development of teachers teaching practice of education is more important guiding significance. Teacher professional development at home and abroad with the current knowledge base of theoretical and practical study, the paper emphasizes the development of teachers' self-awareness of the importance of their professional development, while also highlighting the intrinsic background knowledge base to support the professional development of language teachers practical significance .
