Abstract


As a comprehensive open university, the radio and television university (TV university) has a modern distance open education, as well as diversity in schools and coordinated development of various education. After gradually practising of modern distance education, the TV university has invested heavily in building a public service system based on Internet and broadhand private network and also provided a modern service-supported study platform. But the educational administration system of TVU is still be regarded as the system based on client and server. It is only stand-alone, and its installation and debugging requires technical and professional skills. Informationg in the system is not open on Internet. After the increasingly growing of computer network technology, this system can’t satisfy both teachers and students’demands. In order to keep pace with the fast develpoment of times, to make the management level and efficiency of teachers, to reach a scientific, modernized, regulated and standardized level, it’s urgent to develop an educational administrtion system based on WEB, which provides teachers with a modern online educational administration service platform without space and time limit and provides students with a convenient information platform.According to the demands of academic management in TV University now, this article aims to designs and realizes an educational administration system based on WEB, analyses and compare the focusing program and determines the structure of system and the technology solutions. Supported by the WEB ASP technology, the system also owns a strong basis on Brower/Servers model of three-tiered structure.In addition to all these above, the system still has a component-based technique. Due to the need of users, this article focus on the practial procedures in educational administration and lays the foundation for the design of a database system. The article introduces the overall designed framework, as well as the design procedure on databased backstage and the function of each module. It focuses on the major steps to achieve the module in the practice of the system chapter and has a brief description for the maintenance of basic information. At last, the security and availability of how to keeping data has also been touched and worked with.
