Abstract


The reform of education, not only shows renewal and progress of the educational thought, but also shows the improvement of education skill and means. Modern distance education is a new type of teaching methods, developed with the computer network technology and multimedia technology and develop rapidly. In the course of teaching in various educational institutions, test is an important link, because its quality directly decides the result of teaching. Traditional test, all regarded paper and pen as tools for a long time, the inefficiency is very low and is also a great waste of paper, so the reform of the test method has been already extremely urgent.With the development of network education, the Web examination system is more and more important for it, especially for computer network education because of its complication. This article analyzed the current existing computerized examination system and proposed a network test examination system based on B/S(Brower/Server) structure, and integrated all applications, developments and maintenances onto server. B/S structure, the biggest advantage is that it can at any time, any place, in any way to achieve cross-platform access to the network real-time operation. Not limited to the number of users, development and use of costs are very low. The adoption of international standardization of the client browser (such as IE), so basically no need for user training. Application system installation, commissioning, routine maintenance and upgrades are very convenient. The article explained the strong point of XML, and introduced XML technology to the network test system. Used JSP and XML technologies as the developing tools, and separated the contents and expressions by using JSP to generate the interface contents, using BEAN to accomplish the deep level transaction and using XML to present the test content. For the function design, this article introduce the system’s all process of analyze design and development. Using data stream chart, ER chart, program flow chart to detailed the process of system’s design. The system used B/S development module, and tools selected JSP, XML, Tomcat server. Background database used SQL Server 2000.The system structure is simple, easy and safe. Examinees can examinant time by using the system. Simultaneously teachers can use the system effectively.
