Abstract

With the development of network and information technology, radio stations, which serve as the traditional channel of mass media service, is on the eadge of transformation from traditional media to modern media. The distributed program resource and non-digitalized content largely prohibit the distribution of information, and the low utilization rate, the rising problem of information isolated island become increasingly apparent. All those drawbacks have seriously constrained the development of radio. This paper studies the design and building of radio media-base system. Fully studied the existing service of radio systems, analyzed variety of urgent problems existed in such systems. Proposed the new re-constructed operating system, which combined the Internet, office network, and program production and broadcast network. The idea of building up the media-base system can integrate resource and unify of the resources portal.The media-base system this paper proposed is based on SAN storage structure and dual-link network structure, solved the problems such as, shortage of space in network for mass data storage; low security level, sharing difficulties, low speed for data backup and recovery, as well as single point failure; In the system one security gateway is set between the Internet, office network and the production and broadcast network, which will ensure safety of broadcasting system and improve the resource usage efficiency and facilitate resource sharing.The developed CD audio rip software in the proposed system is simple and practical, can convert many types of radio audio CD to rip audio data files quickly, refuse to read any non-Audio CD format CD-ROM, also offer the function of categorizing the ripped file. Another unique feature is the real-time detection of the audio phase, which can correct the phase of audio file in real-time, avoiding the with-problem audio files to be put into the media-base. Guaranteed the quality of the resource in media-base.The application of media-base system can offer digitalized storage for high quantity of audio files in radio station, and can achieve the digital re-storage and effective management of program audio files. Enhancing the efficiency of resource usage, supplying for diversified program resource for the revenue added service in the future, such as multimedia radio, mobile phone radio. The system will be valuable for the transforming of radio station toward modern media.
