Abstract

With the rise of computer technology , cartographic technology has undergone major changes . Various data collection tools such as GPS , remote sensing technology , satellite and other means of application , making it ready access to the latest geographic data of the Earth's surface . These data are stored in a spatial database , becoming the real geographical world of digital line model ( DLM ) . Geographical data in a spatial database to produce maps of the best data sources . Spatial data to produce maps , is To DLM transformed into a DCM ( digital mapping model ) , this one has a lot of problems exist . Geographic elements is transformed into a map , the mapping relationship between the elements is an important issue , the arrangement of the elements also affect the Drawing late editing workload in order to minimize the conflict in the map surface , and the mapping relationship between geographic feature a need to investigate the problem . Of experience 1:250000 topographic maps DLG data produced stressed geographic features , see the importance of mapping relationship (ie map layers and symbolic relations treatment) , according to the basic principles of the elements of processing and production of topographic maps experience careful study of the various elements of the topographic map level order , that is stacked rules . It also summarizes the mapping between the sub- class of similar elements on the map and the principles of the annotation . In order to meet the visual effects of the drawings , the effect of the realization of the intersection between the elements and each other cutting is a more complicated issue . Unlike graph cut algorithm the symbol decomposition has drawn to achieve these effects , specific instructions to the realization of the transport network , for example . First analysis of the different levels of road transportation networks intersect and connect the effect to the realization of the principle of the ( line between lines ) , then set symbol - level drawing order . This method is also used in the processing of the relationship between the line and plane . Concluded that the elements of the relationship have not yet been solved .
