Abstract


XML (Extensible Markup Language, Extensible Markup Language) is a markup language of the W3C ( World Wide Web ) , was launched in February 1998 . Because of its unique technical advantages , XML launch soon become the standard network data representation and exchange . Therefore , you want to build a variety of applications based on XML , accurate and efficient query from XML data source and get the data to become one of the key step . Papers based on this background , the abstraction of XML data , queries , indexes , and other aspects of the theoretical and experimental explore the main content , innovation , contribution and significance as follows : First , based on the analysis of the basic elements required to build a query system the paper presents the overall framework of the query system , discusses parsed from the document to the general process of query processing ; Secondly, the paper the DTD based XPE tree model to study the XPath query expression optimization techniques , three tree based on DTD mode query expression rewrite . Query rewrite before and after comparison proved rewrite the effectiveness of the algorithm . Then, the paper proposes a structure named DOBI (DTD Orthogonal B tree Index) index , the index to find the DTD the information and take advantage of the special structure of the storage to the ancestors and descendants of basic Structured Query connection and efficient implementation of the various queries . After a theoretical and practical query efficiency analysis , it is proved that this method can quickly establish the relationship between the elements , reducing path visits , saving I / O resources to realize the structure of the XML document to improve query efficiency . Next, according to Tatarinov proposed on the basis of the XQuery update the XML document manipulation language XUpdate paper presents based the DOBI index update algorithm , the algorithm can maintain the validity of the document , and makes it possible to efficient data updates become . Finally, a summary of the work undertaken by the Full and pointed out the direction of future research .
