Abstract

Fiber-reinforced metal layer plywood (Fiber Reinforced Metal Laminates, FRMLs) in the early 1980s, by the Netherlands J.Schije, LBVogelesang and the Netherlands Delft University of Technology Department of Aeronautics Materials Research Laboratory, Pioneer designed for aircraft structures non-fatigue-sensitive materials. It is the aluminum alloy sheet and fiber reinforced composite material combine to produce a new type of structural material, as compared with the corresponding single light metal alloy, it is lightweight, fatigue resistance; with conventional fiber reinforced laminate (Fiber Reinforced Plastic FRP) compared to its advantages: It can be like a conventional metal alloy sheet as handling and processing. Conventional performance of FRMLs After 20 years of research, it has been a better understanding, but for the impact the understanding of the performance and strength characteristics of notched specimen, regardless of the experimental study, theoretical analysis or numerical computing, there are very big lack of application requirements in view of its increasing aircraft structure, this field of research is particularly important and urgent. FRMLs inevitable in the process of manufacture, use and maintenance will be the impact of unexpected objects (in many cases, low-speed impact), resulting in a decline in structural damage and carrying capacity. The low-speed impact damage is often difficult to find on the surface, so there is great potential harm. Low velocity impact of laminated board (Low Velocity Impact, LVI) has been an important issue of concern for scholars. About the new composite FRMLs the impact performance study, the results are very limited. The composite impact damage process is very complex. The first relates to the impact - contact Also consider middle plywood impact process damage mode (matrix cracking, delamination), as well as the application of a suitable model and the corresponding treatment. In this paper, based on the three-dimensional dynamic finite element analysis, respectively hedge head and laminated board mesh, to establish the impact of both the impact process - contact relationship explicit central time difference method for solving the equations of motion. Introduction of the modified Hashin matrix failure criteria and Choi-Chang stratification criterion on the basis of the stress component on the basis of the analysis of the basic form of the laminated plate injury and its mechanical mechanism, namely the impact process matrix cracking and delamination two damage modes judge; stiffness degradation and uncoupled degrees of freedom to simulate the impact of the damage on the structure of the laminated board. Impact damage simulation of several laminated board structure, the following main conclusions:
