Abstract


Production management is one of the basic functions of business management; it plays a critical role in an enterprise. Gao Long Company has been engaging in special vehicle components manufacturing for more than ten years. With the expansion of the scale of Gao Long Company’s business, the process of it’s production and service is getting more complex, the demand for it’s products is getting more diversified and the competition between Gao Long and other special vehicle components manufacturers is getting intensive. Eventually, Gao Long Company’s production management system and methods is unsuitable to such a new situation, it is unable to satisfy market requirements.Based on such a background, giving a discussion and analysis on the problems on Gao Long Company’s production management and putting forward practicable and feasible corresponding solutions will provide decision makers more choice, it will help Gao Long company to strengthen it’s function of production management, to improve it’s management level and to win a superiority in competition with others.The article will be written by following the train of thought: describing status quo firstly, analyzing reasons next, putting forward solutions lastly.It’s main content is listed as follows,1. An account of the basic concept, position and function of production management in an enterprise is given, the significance of production management when a company make efforts to create a good environment for it’s existence and development is shown; through introducing the environment and situation faced by our country’s private enterprises, analyzing the problems on Gao Long’s production management, the opportunities and challenges faced by Gao Long company when it intends to improve it’s management level and to get itself developed forward are revealed.
