Abstract

Carbon nanotubes have a unique structure, a large surface area, but also has high thermal stability and chemical inertness, and therefore it is considered to be a good carrier. This paper studies on the carbon nanotubes to load iron oxide deposition method and its influencing factors were studied, and its adsorption the pb 2 ion performance. Mainly in the following aspects: 1. Carbon nanotubes modified handle its load of iron oxide: In this paper, the use of liquid chemical deposition method Carbon Nanotubes iron oxide. First, with concentrated HCl the concentrated HNO 3 and concentrated HNO , 3 / H 2 SO 4 (mixed acid) three acid modified carbon nanotubes, TEM measurement and FTIR spectroscopy, FTIR analysis of the samples were concentrated HCl treatment can not show that the introduction of functional groups on the carbon nanotube surface. The concentrated HNO 3 can be introduced in the surface of carbon nanotubes-OH and-C = O The concentrated HNO 3 / H 2 SO 4 can the surface of the carbon nanotubes introduced a lot of-OH,-C = O, COOH. Preparation of the above three kinds of the Carbon Nanotubes Fe 2 O 3 , TEM analysis showed that the load effect: mixed acid> concentrated HNO 3 concentration HCl. The the Fe load mixed acid treated carbon nanotubes 2 O 3 XRD analysis proved the load Fe 2 O < sub> 3 α-Fe 2 O 3 . Mechanism analysis showed that the oxygen-containing groups on the carbon nanotubes dispersed in aqueous solution, can enhance its Fe 3 adsorption and ion exchange capacity, adsorbed on the surface of carbon nanotubes Fe 3 crystal nucleation centers, after adjusting the pH of the solution, Fe 2 O 3 deposited on the surface of the carbon nanotubes. 2. PVA on the impact of carbon nanotube load iron oxide In this article, observed by TEM, adding polyvinyl alcohol as a surfactant can be achieved carbon nanotubes the the Fe 2 O 3 's payload. Add polyvinyl alcohol both phase separation. Were analyzed: the role of the polyvinyl alcohol during loading polyvinyl uniformly adsorbed on the surface of carbon nanotubes, carbon nanotubes dispersed in an aqueous solution, the hydrophobic group with the carbon nanotubes to the van der Waals forces, and its pro- water group with Fe 2 O 3 · nH 2 O combined with carbon nanotubes payload Fe 2 O 3 has played a role as a bridge. In the sample during calcination, the uniform parcel after the polyvinyl alcohol is melted at the surface of carbon nanotubes, to further prevent the both during calcination phase separation. With XRD, TG-DTG, TEM, M (?) Ssbauer spectra of samples were analyzed. 3. Carbon nanotube / iron oxide composite adsorption of lead ions in aqueous solution in this paper, the use of urea homogeneous precipitation was prepared FeOOH / carbon nanotube composites. TEM, XRD material morphology, structure were analyzed. The composite study adsorb pb 2 , and ionic strength, pH, and initial concentration on the adsorption properties of composite materials, and its adsorption isotherm equation fitting The results showed that: FeOOH / carbon nanotube composites on pb 2
