Abstract


The statistical information is the important information resources of the Futures Exchange of Shanghai (SHFE), it not only includes a large amount of interior business information but also include all kinds of additional information related to peripheral market and trade variety. With market competition becoming fierce, SHFE expect use these scattered business statistical information of system, realize the sufficient sharing of information and excavate its inherent value. The original existing business systematic report form can’t reach the demands changed fast, it is unable to offer further analyze means and excavated method, so SHFE need to construct a data center for these requirements. The statistics information sharing platform based on data warehouse technology is exactly the solution suitable and feasible for this kind of requirement.This paper descripts the overall demand and designing for the system, including systematic goal, business requirement, technological demand and total design framework, and the contents of three respects that the author participate in designing and realizing, concrete:Data Modeling. The data model is the nuclear part of the data warehouse system, its quality influences the systematic application result directly and expands performance in the future. In systematic implementation, the author adopts the subject analysis method to classify, merge and refine the user’s needs and business datum, we finally conclude six major kinds of themes such as futures theme, futures quotations theme, delivery theme, stock theme, domestic supply and demand theme and spot exchange theme, carrying on the design work of models according to some thoughts and strategies of the multidimensional model, get a lot of fact and dimension tables based on themes.ETL process management. ETL is a key part of the data warehouse system, it connects through the business system and data warehouse system^ and it is the bridge that carried out operating type transit to the analytic type. ETL process and management of this system are use encoded way by hand and realized, it has greater flexibility and stronger adaptability. We design ETL handle procedure and management function module according to the implementation method of ETL.Metadata management. Metadata is the essential component of data warehouse system, it not merely can promote system reasonable and orderly development, but also can help user understanding system better. The system adopt CWM model of international standard as a model of Metadata, so it has good expansion and interaction. This paper discusses metadata that system involves, explain the realization of metadata management based on CWM model through a example of ETL process.Now, the system has been put into application.
