In recent decades, the world formed the Old Port area of urbanization transformation trend. City Harbour siting build another new port to become a wise choice to get deep-water berths , but also accompanied by relocation of the old port in order to create conditions for urban transformation . In the interests of drivers , once idle old port close to the city center because of its geographical advantages favored by the real estate developers , \region , followed by emergence of commercial areas, office areas , etc., become the rapid expansion of urban housing construction and development of new selective . In this paper, the old port city of Dalian Port transformation as the object of study , the use of interviews, data collection , statistics and other research tools , the use of the work and worked in Dalian Port to participate in the project's advantages, and conducted field investigation, analysis and research. Through the project feasibility surveys , economic analysis, development model comparison and selection, as well as planning the transformation program analysis, suitable for China 's old port development model has also been discussed , to find some reference of the law, in order to the old port city of China in the future transformation of some reference .
