Abstract


The open space of urban waterfront with more and more attention today is sensitive area. Proceeding from idea that people first, the open space of urban waterfront should become one of the most attractive places in the urban life. But in fact, the rate of utilization of the open space of urban waterfront in a lot of cities has not reached the degree anticipated. This paper exactly proceeds from the user’s angle to study the rate of utilization of the open space of urban waterfront. At first, it expounded the concept of the rate of utilization of the open space of urban waterfront and analyzed main influence factor of the open space of urban waterfront by dint of basic principles of behavioral and psychological Science and Gestalt Psycology. Then at design aspect it seeks theoretically main approach to raise the rate of utilization of the open space of urban waterfront. Finally, it examined the conclusion through the positive research. Purpose to make design create comfortable and pleasant the open space of urban waterfront imbued with vigor.
