Abstract

Low-cost , high -quality headphone driver power amplifier has been consumer electronics products such as CD players, MP3 and DVD pursuit of the goal . Most traditional audio power amplifier the bipolar process design and manufacturing , is the cornerstone of the a good bipolar transistor characteristics . While CMOS technology has the advantages of low cost , but the larger size of the output tube drive low impedance loads , stability issues , bandwidth issues and drive high capacitive load noise CMOS application of technology has been limited to the pace . In recent years, with the rapid development of CMOS integrated circuit technology , the problem largely improved. Stability class AB design high open-loop process cascode CMOS power amplifier , the papers , the first from the basic structure of the circuit is determined according to the design specifications to meet the requirements of the cascode circuit in the form , and then allocated power budget and current designed device parameters , and finally the use of computer simulation , the results show that the amplifier unity gain bandwidth of 31 MHz, the quiescent current of 3.3 mA, maximum output current up to 50mA 32Ω load . Low frequency amplifier open loop gain of 98.7 dB, phase margin of up to 108 ° , the PSRR to 78 dB , showing excellent closed-loop stability and anti - the power noise capability , in the case of the 3.3V power supply output voltage swing of 3.11 V. Further, in order to improve the power amplifier input voltage range , a complementary folded cascode structure cascode structure instead of the original input signal range in the case of circuit performance is not reduced , to achieve the end-to-end input . Finally, the unique design of the chip internal removed coupling capacitor so that the output end , and BTL connection , further reducing the system volume .
