Abstract

Magnetic suspension has been paid more and more attention because of its many merits such as no mechanical contact, no wear, low power loss, no need of lubrication and long service life, etc. The bearing characteristic of Magnetic suspension is determined mainly by its configuration parameter and control system. Moreover, That the maglev platform system have various coupling characteristics is different from those of bearing. Therefore, it has great significance to research the coupling and bearing characteristic and controller system. In this paper analyse the bearing characteristic of the five-degree-of-freedom maglev platform and its stabilization, and build the bearing model and the coupling dynamics relation between machine and electricity after adding the control system. Then research the control system aiming at the non-linear and coupling of the magnetic platform . A self-adjusting PID controller and a sliding mode controller are designed based on single-freedom-degree maglev platform and the magnetic suspension system based on self-adjusting PID controller and slide model controller is stable and robust. The performance of PID and slide model controller are compared and evaluated. The robustness, stability and disturbance suppression are verified. At last, the paper presents an application of self-adjusting PID controller design to a single freedom magnetic suspension system . The design is evaluated by experiment. The experiment results show that H∞control can levitate the suspension system stably and is very robust.
