Abstract

The fence is an important traffic safety facilities , semi-rigid guardrail is currently the most widely used form of guardrail . The collision of the vehicle and the guardrail is extremely complex event , in this event , two integral part of the vehicle and the guardrail is collision system , both are coupled to each other , mutual influence , constitute an organic whole . In this paper, a semi-rigid crash barrier and heavy container truck Donghai Bridge to the study of the laws of motion and collision of heavy vehicles in the extent of damage , made ??the following main tasks : First , from the geometric nonlinearity , material nonlinearity and contact nonlinearity so on several aspects , a detailed analysis of the vehicles guardrail collision process involves a variety of non-linear problems , the finite element method are discussed , in particular the collision dynamics of the finite element method . Secondly, parametric modeling , the ANSYS environment to build the entire vehicle - Guardrail collision system finite element analysis model by adjusting the parameters to change the material properties , structure , size and collision conditions . Guardrail vehicle plastic large deformation phenomena are considered in the model , a detailed contact with parts of the vehicle and the guardrail , introduced knuckle model to simulate the connection between the the container truck tractor and trailer , take full account of the friction impact , considering the rolling of the wheel and the brake effect, to achieve a better simulate the actual situation . Finally, by changing the initial collision conditions in the collision process , three computational analysis the condition law of motion of the vehicle and the guardrail system crash the extent of damage . The part mainly in LS_DYNA in . By comparative analysis of three conditions the vehicle 's athletic stance , displacement, velocity and energy , guardrail system beams , bracket and column displacement , stress and strain , the law of motion and collision of vehicles calculated on three conditions make a summary of the extent of damage caused by certain ideas , and such studies for future work .
