Currently in the world are in the third generation mobile communication systems (3G) deployment and operation of China in 2009, officially released the third generation mobile communication system license . The third generation mobile communication system has three international standards , namely, WCDMA, CDMA2000 and TD-SCDMA, CDMA2000 which represented manufacturers in North America , the construction of distribution network across the globe. In China 's three operators, China Telecom's third- generation mobile communication system on the use of CDMA2000 technologies . Alcatel-Lucent as CDMA2000, mainstream manufacturers in the world including China, a number of CDMA2000 deployment of third generation mobile communication system network , China 's first CDMA2000, EVDO network is by Alcatel-Lucent built in Macao . CDMA technology from the 1990s to the present, with the development of mobile technology from IS95 evolution to CDMA2000, CDMA2000 1x and from which the CDMA2000 evolution to CDMA20001x EV-DO. Alcatel -Lucent 's CDMA2000 network , 5ESS switch as a comprehensive media gateway used . Alcatel-Lucent 5ESS switch as the flagship of switch platforms , renowned in the industry , not only can be used in fixed communication network, can also be deployed in a CDMA mobile communication network . 5ESS architecture based on the evolution of CDMA2000 core network also needs to continue to improve . This paper describes the evolution of 3GPP2 core network planning, went on to introduce the structure of 5ESS switch , the last before the 5ESS contrast to the base station interfaces in CDMA2000 1xEV-DO network 5ESS and the base station under the new structure and design of the interface description , the new interface (IPBPH) to the base station using a widely used standard IP interface approach , adapted to the development trend of the criteria for the subsequent evolution of the core network and extend the life of 5ESS laid a very important foundation .
